2-hour lesson, no experience needed!  Have a creative experience out with friends/partner or solo!

You will make two projects using two very different ceramic techniques to experience the full range of forming clay by hand! The first project is a tall cup or pencil holder that you'll construct from compressed sheets of clay. We'll offer texture tools and stamps for you to enhance and personalize the surface and shape. The second project gives you an opportunity to try out the potter’s wheel to create a small bowl or dish. This part of the class is often met with many laughs and is a crazy fun challenge! Get messy, shaping a wet mound of spinning clay by hand!

This class is geared to those with little or no clay experience! Classes are online through a Zoom recording- you will be sent the recording via email and then you have the ability to come in at any point in the week you sign up for to make your pottery creations for one two-hour session!

Once your pieces are made our staff will put the finishing touches on them.  We will bake/fire your work and we will also glaze your work in our beautiful Celadon Green glaze- making them food safe, dishwasher safe, AND microwave safe!  Your pieces will be done in 4-6 weeks.  We will bag them and call and email you once they’re ready for pick up.

    • Make two projects: 1 functional cup/pencil holder with customized textured surface, and 1 wheel-thrown cup, bowl, or dish.
    • Choose up to 2 of your creations to be glazed and finished to be picked up as souvenirs after 4-6 weeks
    • All materials, tools, and clay provided.  Please bring a personal water bottle and an apron.
